eLearning Instructional Designer
Legacy FM is seeking an e-Learning Instructional Designer to join our team in developing quality, meaningful, interactive material in support of our company’s training program development efforts. This full-time (or part-time: 20-30 hours/week) position offers flexible hours and consideration for remote work. Healthcare facilities management industry experience is preferred.
Job Duties:
- Creates high-quality, interactive, HTML5 material for e-Learning program development, including photos, videos, 360 walk-throughs, diagrams, exercises, assessments, etc.
- Collaborates with project lead, content writers, subject matter experts, and instructional designers to deliver cutting edge e-learning and course content
- Redesigns and adapts existing PowerPoint formatted training content into interactive xAPI or Scorm 2.0 compliant e-learning modules
- Creates images and animations that identify a concept or convey a message utilizing Adobe Photoshop and/or Adobe InDesign
- Uploads and configures e-learning content into Legacy FM’s learning management system (LMS)
- Assists with managing administrative capabilities in the LMS
- Ensures consistency of content across all training materials
- Aligns developed content with Legacy FM branding standards
- Ensures content is simple, concise, clear, and appropriate for the training audience
Education:
- Bachelor’s (or in pursuit of) in Art, Communication, Advertising, Education, Instructional design, Graphics design, Multimedia design, Web design, Software engineering, Visual design or related field preferred
Skills and Experience:
- Understanding of e-learning development, instructional design, or graphics design
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with Storyline 360, Rise, Captivate 2019 (or similar – preferred)
- Experience with Camtasia (or similar video editing program – preferred)
- Experience with Adobe Photoshop, InDesign, or Canva (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Understanding of Tin Can (xAPI) or Scorm 2.0
- Understanding of situational based learning
- Experience in JS, HTML, and CSS (preferred)
- Independent ability to effectively research specific topics using various resources
- Strong attention to detail with a reputation for being impeccably precise
- Ability to meet deadlines
