SENIOR CONTENT WRITER

Legacy FM is seeking a Senior Content Writer to join our team in developing quality, written and visual material in support of our company’s training program development efforts.  This full-time (40 hours/week) position offers flexible hours and consideration for remote work.  Applicants must have experience working in the facilities management (or similar) industry and be familiar with the fundamentals of building construction, operation, and maintenance. Healthcare industry experience is preferred.

 

Job Duties:

  • Creates high quality written material for educational training program development (including training materials, presentations, course materials, and test development) and ensures consistency of content across all training materials
  • Interviews and collects technical information for training program development from industry subject matter experts, technical databases, and other credible sources
  • Ensures content aligns with the Legacy FM brand standards
  • Ensures content is simple, concise, clear, and appropriate for the training audience
  • Edits written material from others for clarity, grammar and spelling

Education:

  • Bachelor’s (or in pursuit of) in Writing, English, Journalism, Communication, Advertising, Education, or related field

Skills and Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years content development or technical writing experience
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro
  • Experience in SmartSheet, Sketchup & Camtasia (preferred)
  • Independent ability to effectively research specific topics using various resources
  • Ability to meet deadlines
  • Experience in document and graphic design
