What does the presence of gas bubbles indicate in the sight glass in a refrigeration system?

Bubbles in the sight glass indicate there is a mixture of liquid and vapor. Usually adding refrigerant will remedy the issue. Bubbles may also indicate a faulty thermostatic expansion drive, or even a dirty condenser.
