PCRA and ICRA 101

    Course Description:

    PCRA and ICRA 101 provides an overview of Pre-Construction Risk Assessments and Infection Control Risk Assessments, their respective purposes, and scenarios in which they could be implemented. This course also teaches best practices and standards to follow when infection risks are identified. Participants will learn to perform and document the standard PCRA and ICRA processes and how to respond appropriately if either is implemented including equipment installation for infection control.

     

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Define Pre-Construction Risk Assessment (PCRA) and its purpose
    2. Define Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) and its purpose
    3. Review practices to follow when infection risks are identified
    4. Describe scenarios that might require ICRA documentation and implementation
    5. Describe and demonstrate the standard Novant Health PCRA and ICRA documentation processes
    6. Demonstrate common equipment installation related to infection control before and during construction
