What is an Asynchronous AC motor?

Asynchronous (induction) motors are the most common type of AC motor. Asynchronous motors are used in healthcare settings to power various equipment, such as fans, pumps, and medical devices. Asynchronous motors are AC motors that do not have a rotating magnetic field. Asynchronous motors produce torque by interacting with a rotating magnetic field in the stator with a short-circuited coil in the rotor. This turning force is called torque. This makes asynchronous motors less expensive than synchronous motors and more versatile, making them suitable for various applications.
