What is the frequency of testing of fire and smoke dampers?

Fire and smoke dampers must be tested 1 year after installation and every 6 years thereafter in hospitals only, regardless of the occupancy designation. Non-hospital facilities must be tested every 4 years thereafter. *NFPA 80 and 105 says hospitals and not healthcare occupancies. Therefore, business occupancies in hospitals are required every 6 years between testing.
