EOC Committee 201

    Course Description:

    Healthcare organizations monitor their ongoing level of standards compliance throughout the intracycle period via a self-assessment activity at the twelfth and twenty-fourth month for general applications and at the twelfth month for lab applications. The Focused Standards Assessment (FSA) tool and other resources are available to hospitals to provide educational support. EOC Committee 201 teaches how to identify, locate, complete, and maintain Environment of Care documents for accreditation and project development purposes.  Participants learn how to seek out and identify opportunities for performance improvement projects and then develop a scope and resource plan to implement these projects. They will also study the Joint Commission Focused Standards Assessment tool, learn how to effectively employ the scoring rubric and tool, and how to implement required tasks during the Intracycle Monitoring process.

     

    Learning Objectives:

    1. Demonstrate how to complete and maintain all required Environment of Care documentation
    2. Identify and develop scope for local Performance Improvement Projects
    3. Describe the Joint Commission Focused Standards Assessment (FSA) scoring rubric, tool, and process
